DAGON’S BLOOD by Virginia Lee is an epic historical romance set in Scotland during the Jacobite period in which Charles Stuart(Bonnie Prince Charles) tries to regain the throne of Scotland.
Virginia Lee paints beautiful pictures with her words and brings Leigha Clairemont to life. Leigha suffers tragedy when her father is killed and all her possessions are seized.
She is taken in by longtime family friend Lord Dagon and her life begins to change as she finds love and contentment. Leigha’s world is shattered when she is kidnapped and spirited away.
Leigha turns the hearts of the hardest of men and they love her and want to protect her.
This beautifully written story takes you on a journey that the reader will long remember. Even after reading I find myself thinking of the beautiful Leigha.

Virginia Lee has written a marvelous tale of love and betrayal in her novel Dagon’s Blood. Set amidst the Jacobite Rising/Rebellion of 1745, in Scotland, she takes us on an adventure worthy of the epic tales of old.
Weaving us in and out of the politics of Scotland and England, at the time when Bonnie Prince Charlie’s bid for the throne tears Scotland in two. The lovely Lady Leigha Clairmont becomes embroiled in adventure, with the war on her doorstep.
Virginia Lee’s research of the era is so meticulous in Dagon’s Blood the reader will enter into the homes of the rich and poor, alike in this historical romance. One can virtually feel the horse beneath her as she rides to escape the clutches of the English Captain Simon, who killed her father, for being a traitor to the crown. Taste the food of Scotland, smell the scent of flowers and perfumes, and become immersed in the plots between rivals.
Falling in love with two men, who will Leigha choose? Her childhood love Robert, or Simon who has devils in his past, who threaten to end the lives and destroy both of the men who love her.
Travel with pirates and meet the blackest of scoundrels and live life as it was in the 1700’s.
Will she survive the slave ships, pirates who want to sell her, the scoundrels whose hearts contain only blackness and greed? Will she reunite with true love; is her heart with Robert or Simon?
This is a story for all who love history, adventure, love, and honor. It is so well written that one will surely become immersed in the lives and adventures of Leigha and all who love her.
